Need a new hot water heater should I spend the extra $ for longer warranty?
I have to buy a new water heater and they have the 6, 9, and 12 year warranty. I know that the longer the warranty the better it is made but is it really worth it? The 9 year is over 100 more than the 6 year.
The 9 year is self cleaning And 2000 more btu than the 6. That' the only difference I see on them
Hello, one thing is your not buying a better water heater, no matter what the warranty. You are getting the same exact water heater. You are just buying an extended warranty. In my experience if the water heater is going to go on you it will go in the 1st 6 years. And most of the time if you read the warranty it is only extended for the tank only not parts.
