losing antifreeze in 96 grandcaravan se?
i have a grandcarvan se. one day the temp lite came on so i stoped and fille dup the raditor and resevior tank with coolant. and every since then my resevoir is low or empty and i find antifreeze on the ground. but the radiator is full. some people say that tank is just incase the coolant has to go bank as a overflow jug to hold the antifreezee. i checked the hoses and only spot i saw cvoolant was lower pasenger side like it got sprayed back onto the hose. anyone know why i lost coolant completly and now my overflow tank is getting low but raditor isnt? i put coolant in the overflow tank to where is says min level.
When any fluid gets warm it expands, the coolant in the
resevoir will never be the same level when its hot and cold.
Even when the engine is warming up the level is still rising
and when the engine is cooling the level drops again. Your
not loosing any coolant.
I dont get your question or what you said but
if you visually see coolant sprayed somewhere
in your engine bay then you obviously have a leak.
